There will be plenty of extra special events running throughout the week, including the chance to take a trip through the spooky haunted forest, enjoy Grimm tales in the Wild About Animals Theatre and even come dressed as your favourite ghost or monster and win a special prize in Merlin’s magical fancy dress party. For those brave enough, why not visit during one of our late night openings on Wednesday 27th, Friday 29th and Sunday 31st October, when Colchester Zoo will stay open until 9:00pm! Take a ride on the infamous spooky road train, watch the ‘Fright-fest’ on the Displays Arena, take a trip around the haunted forest after dark and investigate paranormal goings on in the haunted house! To enter the competition you must be at least 14 years of age at the time of entering. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult during their visit. The prize is for one Family Ticket for Colchester Zoo which must be used during the Shriek Week event from the 23rd until the 31st October. Child tickets are only valid for Children between the age of 3-14yrs. Please note that for late night openings on the 27th, 29th and 32st October the viewing of animals is restricted after dark. The zoo is open on late nights for the additional activities which are provided by zoo staff. Visitors are recommended to bring a torch to help them navigate the zoo grounds. All Terms and Conditions apply. The "How to Enter" section forms part of the Terms and Conditions. No purchase is necessary. Closing date for entries is 8pm on the 4th October 2010. The winning entrant will be selected from all completed and correct entries and notified by telephone or email. The winning entrant will be chosen by Colchester Zoo from all completed, correct and valid entries received by the closing date. A valid entry constitutes a completed, correct entry form. In the event that several entrants answer the question correctly the winner will be chosen at random from all correct answers. Entry is limited to one per person. The prize featured cannot be combined with any other promotional offer. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of similar value at its own discretion.
