Keeper for a Day - Scheme C

Get involved behind the scenes on a number of exciting animal sections!

Morning Session - 11.00am - 1.30pm

Sealions & Penguins:
- Go behind the scenes at Playa Patagonia and meet and feed the sealions.
- Find out the secrets behind sealion training, and witness at close hand your very own private sealion training demonstration.
- Weigh out a meal of fish for the penguins and deliver it by hand direct to these adorable birds inside their enclosure.


Primates:

- Join the chimps for their lunchtime feed and hear more about them from their keeper.
- Enter inside a monkey enclosure and help the keepers with their cleaning chores.
- Meet and feed the Squirrel or Spider monkeys.
- Go behind the scenes at Orangutan Forest and meet some of our closest cousins.


Lunch - 1.30pm - 2.30pm

Afternoon Session - 2.30pm - 3.45pm

Edge of Africa:

- Venture behind the scenes in one of the most hidden areas of the zoo and meet some truly wonderful occupants including cheetah, hyena, warthogs and the amazing mandrill monkeys.
- Find out about some of the training programmes ongoing with these species and you may get the opportunity to take part yourselves.
- Assist the keepers with some of their daily chores such as cleaning or making up fresh beds.
- Help the keepers prepare enrichment or feed some of these fantastic creatures.
