African Animals Have you ever wondered what it is like in Africa or what animals live there? In this session you can find out the names of some of the more unusual African animals and interesting facts about them. After which time, you will be able to visit some of the African Animals we have here at Colchester Zoo. |

In this session you will be looking at the different South American animals and learn some new and interesting facts about them. Some hatch from eggs whilst others are carried inside their mothers and are live when born. Workshops
Minibeast Workshop This workshop offers children the chance to learn about invertebrates. They are taught how to handle and identify different types of insects and invertebrates, including stick insects, cockroaches and land snails.

Close Encounter Workshop This workshop offers young children the chance to meet and touch a selection of domestic animals and minibeasts, encouraging the children to learn about animals and to treat them with care and respect.
