Enclosure Design Workshop An introduction to enclosure design focusing on the factors the zoo needs to take into account when considering new designs. A guided tour around some of our enclosures will be used as a base for students to design their own enclosure for an animal of their choice. (This activity requires a preliminary task where pupils research an animal of their choice, focusing on its habitat and behaviour).

Environmental Enrichment Workshop A brief introduction into the history of Zoos. An in-depth view into stereotypical behaviour which may be exhibited by animals kept in poor conditions and how to prevent them with the use of environmental enrichment. Students then have the opportunity to design their own enrichment device and watch the success of this device as it is presented to the animals.
