award winning Discovery and Learning department.
Colchester Zoo’s schools’ team is dedicated to ensuring
that you and your students get the most from your visit. Our excellent
package gives you a wide range of resources all of which are included
in the cost of your school visit. We offer over 30 different talks
on a wide variety of topics, from Key Stage 1 right through to Higher
Education. What’s more if there is a talk that you require that
is not part of our current programme; we are happy to tailor a talk
specifically to your requirements.
 Colchester
Zoo is a fantastic interactive day out which is why you can also book
from a selection of fun workshops and Outward Bound sessions, to taking
part in interesting zoo trails. Over 30 worksheets are available to
you as well as follow up teacher’s notes.
School groups can visit for just £6.99 per student and £10.99 per adult. One free adult is permitted per 5 paying Reception
or Primary school children and one per 8 paying Secondary school children.
For students Year 12 and above or in further education the rate will
be £7.50.
Schools also receive:-

- 2 free adult entries to make a familiarisation visit beforehand.
- A free meal voucher and courtesy day out for each coach driver
