Colchester Zoo opens its doors for a special day for Senior Citizens! Monday 12th May, sees Colchester Zoo opening its doors for the first time for a special Senior Citizens Day. The special day will allow all over 60’s to visit the zoo at a discount to make the most of the wonderful weather, spring flowers and new arrivals at the Zoo. Plus, Cafe UmPhafa will be serving a range of delicious dishes at lunch time, as well as tea and cakes in the afternoon! New arrivals at Colchester Zoo include two baby Meerkats, a trio of young Warthogs, a Ring Tailed lemur and twin Red Ruffed lemurs all born within the last few weeks. The offer is open to all senior citizens to come in on this day only at what is the children's rate of £7.99 and as the zoo remains open to all senior citizens can even bring the grandchildren with them for a great day out.
Zoological Director, Anthony Tropeano commented “Times are hard, at the moment, with the increasing price of every day items and this particularly affects those on a pension. We hope that our first Senior Citizens day will give people the chance to discover everything that Colchester Zoo has to offer at a discounted rate!” (Offer available on 12th May only, not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
