Help us name our 3 female Cheetah cubs!
On Tuesday 14th April, Cheetah, Sia, successfully gave birth to a litter of cubs! Sia is proving to be a great mum and the cubs are growing bigger and stronger each day!
On 28th April our Animal Care Team completed a health check with the cubs and revealed their genders – Sia has 3 girls and 2 boys, sadly one of the male cubs has since passes away but our remaining 4 cubs now need names and that’s where you can help!
We would like the 3 female cub to have a name which begins with an N, H and S in honour of all the amazing frontline staff working hard to save lives. Naming 3 of the cubs in honour of the NHS is just one way in which we can show our appreciation for their dedication to protecting and saving lives whilst putting their own lives at risk.
After a number of name suggestions received from the public over the past week our keepers have shortlisted their favourites and we now have the following names to choose from;
N : Noble , Nika , Nova
H : Hope , Havana , Haruni
S : Sarafina , Sarabi , Star
We are kindly asking for a minimum donation of £1.00 to vote for your favourite name/s.
Not only does your donation give your favourite name a chance of being selected, but by taking part you are also helping to support the zoo during this uncertain time, with all money received through your votes going directly to the Zoo Operating Fund which helps to care for all of our animals.
Our male cub will be named by our keepers and this name will be announced in due course.
The vote for our female cheetah cubs names will close towards the end of May/Early June and when all donations are counted the top three names will be announced! Keep an eye on our website and social media for the big reveal!
