Please be aware that our indoor soft play, Jungle Tumble, will be closed on the following dates due to annual maintenance and a thorough deep clean.
• Tuesday 7th May to Friday 10th May 2024
• Monday 13th May to Friday 17th May 2024
• Monday 9th to 13th September 2024
• Monday 16th to 20th September 2024
• Monday 13th to 17th January 2025
• Monday 20th to 24th January 2025
In order to make this a fun and safe environment for all there is a restricted number of Jungle Tumble Admission Tickets available to book per day. This has been done with both staff and guest safety in mind, and to improve your experience within the soft play area, avoiding over crowding and making sure more people are able to enjoy the play area each day. There are height restrictions for the soft play areas, please check our rules of play for more details.
Each slot available is 45 minutes long, with the first slot starting at 10.30am. You will need to pre-book a FREE Jungle Tumble admission ticket for each child who would like to enter the play area. This includes those children under 3 years old and Zoo Passholders. You do not need to book a Jungle Tumble slot for any parents/guardians accompanying the child.
Jungle Tumble is a very popular area of the zoo therefore consecutive play sessions are not permitted. Please do not attempt to book consecutive play sessions as you will be asked to leave Jungle Tumble after the first play session and not readmitted.
To avoid disappointment please do not expect to be admitted for consecutive play sessions. We kindly ask you to respect our staff implementing this policy.
PLEASE NOTE: Both children and their parents/guardians must already have valid admission to Colchester Zoo (zoo pass/paid ticket/complimentary ticket) to enter Jungle Tumble.
As per our entry terms and conditions, we operate a zero-tolerance policy for physical or verbal abuse towards staff. Any visitors behaving inappropriately will be asked to leave the park immediately without refund being made.
Visiting Jungle Tumble:
- You must book your children’s Jungle Tumble tickets via our website ahead of your visit, this includes those with Zoo Passes and under 3s.
- Visitors can only book 1 play session per day, please only book if you are able to attend the session.
- Our team may ask you to queue ahead of your time slot if you arrive early.
- Each child’s ticket should then be presented to our team to scan on entry, via a mobile device or a print out.
- When your child’s session is nearly up, our team will give a 5 minute warning asking children to leave the play area and put on their shoes.
- Session time includes times to remove shoes and get ready to leave.
- Socks MUST be worn to enter the play area.

Please be aware that our kiosk is CARD ONLY and picnics cannot be consumed in this area.

– Consecutive play sessions are not permitted.
– Each child wishing to enter the play area will require their own ticket, this includes under 3s.
– We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone not following the Rules of Play or those without a booking.
