HE Modular Animal Care Sessions
Comming Autumn 2018! Check back soon for more details!
These new modules, avaliable from Sept 2018, are designed for students studying animal care on an HE level course. They provide detailed and specific information and allow access to areas of the zoo not normally available for the public to view.
The HE modules focus on a specific taxon group (e.g. carnivores, herptiles, primates, etc.) and provide information about the care and mangement of those species in a zoo setting including details about: nutrition, health care, enrichment, enclosure design, and training. The sessions will last two hours and include an hour of classroom theory, followed by an hour behind the scenes tour seeing the concepts discussed in practice.
If you are interested in these sessions, would like more details about what will be avaliable, or to discuss bookings for autumn 2018, please contact the education department directly by phone at 01206 332511 or 01206 332512 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
