Selected catering outlets will also be open early. Pop by Penguini’s Restaurant, Snack Shack, Meerkat Hangout or Waterhole so that you can enjoy a tasty treat or a full breakfast to start your day!

Anyone under the age of 16yrs MUST be accompanied by a responsible guardian over the age of 18yrs. We will not admit anyone unaccompanied under the age of 16yrs.

PLEASE NOTE: It is NOT possible to see ALL encounters taking place during the event as some encounters take place at the same time as others to give more options for our visitors. All activities, terms & conditions, dates, times and prices are subject to change.

Location

The event is at Colchester Zoo. Each encounter location is as stated above. CLICK HERE for a MAP showing each encounter location.

Dates and Time

Wake Up With takes please on Saturday 1st July 2023 and begins at 7:30am. The zoo will remain open for the rest of the day for Passholders and non-passholders to enjoy the park as they would on a normal Saturday.

Duration

The encounters run from 7:45am, with the last encounter at 9:20am to be finished in time for general admission for all non-passholders at 9:30am. Each encounter lasts around 10 minutes.

Age Restrictions

Under 16yrs must be accompanied by a responsible adult over 16 yrs at all times whilst in the park. Unaccompanied persons under 16 yrs will not be admitted.

Tickets

Entry to Wake Up With is ONLY for those with a valid Colchester Zoo Membership Pass. If you wish to enjoy this exclusive event, you must have purchased a pass that began BEFORE 1st July 2023 to qualify for admission. You are not required to book a timed entry slot for this event – simply arrive with your valid pass to enter.
