Ticket Refund Requests
If you wish to receive a refund for tickets purchased to visit during the Zoo’s closure please complete the form below.
You can request a full refund or alternatively donate some of your purchase to the Zoo’s Emergency Operating Fund.
All refunds, part or in full will be refunded to the account that you originally paid from. This will happen automatically within the next few weeks.
As we are unsure as to when the zoo will be reopening at the moment we are currently only refunding those tickets purchased to visit until the end of January 2021. Any requests for refunds of tickets due to visit after January 2021 will be considered if the zoo remains closed. We will email you if you have requested a refund for a visit date that the zoo is opening.
Every little helps and we thank you for any support you are able to give during this time to help us care for the animals here at Colchester Zoo.
These refund requests are only accepted for those with visits affected by the closure of Colchester Zoo due to the national lockdown. Any refund requests outside of this scope will not be accepted.
Please note that the Booking Fee on your original transaction is not refundable as this is taken by a third party to process the original booking.
To process your refund a small admin fee is charged which is automatically deducted from the refund transaction as is outlined in the Government Guidance: ”In some cases, where lockdown laws prevent a business from providing a service or the consumer from receiving it, the business may be able to deduct a contribution to the costs it has already incurred in relation to the specific contract in question (where it cannot recover them elsewhere).”
