Once again Colchester Zoo has been presented with not one but three Essex Mum 2019 awards!
We are delighted to announce that we have been voted the winner of the Best Day Out: Outdoors award for the 6th consecutive year! PLUS winner of the Best Halloween Event for our Shriek Week activities for the 4th year in a row, and we were also crowned winner of the Best Christmas Event again for our ever popular Magic of Christmas festivities!
A huge thank you to all of those who voted! Colchester Zoo is constantly developing with both our animals and visitors needs in mind; with the aim of conserving endangered species and providing a first class experience for our visitors whilst further the understanding and respect for animals. 2019 has seen a number of successful births including 2 critically endangered Amur leopard cubs and 3 endangered Amur tiger cubs to name a few! We have also developed a number of new areas for our visitors such as The Outpost Gift Shop and new Admissions Building creating an enjoyable experience right from the point of entering the zoo! Colchester Zoo is always reinvesting into the park and has further exciting developments on the horizon…watch this space!
Each and every visit made to Colchester Zoo not only supports the ongoing developments and animals in situ but also assists the zoos charity, Action for the Wild, help conservation projects worldwide. Thank you to all those who visit and support this work!
