State of Nature Report
The state of Nature report tells us a lot about the decline of many plant and animal species across the UK.
Here at Colchester Zoo, we work to protect our native species and habitats. We also strive to educate our visitors about the importance of conservation both worldwide and here in the UK.
Our large Nature Area at the Zoo, and our breeding and release of the Fishers Estuarine Moth, are just two of the projects we have to do more for native species.
