Colchester Zoo Competition Terms & Conditions
These rules apply to your participation in Colchester Zoo’s competitions. By submitting your entry you agree to these rules. If you do not agree, please do not submit your entry. The promoter of this prize draw is Colchester Zoo (“we”). The promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with an external company unless otherwise stated and any information given is going to Colchester Zoo and not a third party unless otherwise stated.
ENTRANTS: Competitions are free to enter and open to UK residents. This excludes Colchester Zoo employees, their immediate family, or any person or company associated with the draw.
HOW TO ENTER: To enter the competition you should follow the given instructions supplied by Colchester Zoo. Only one entry per person. If multiple entries are made by one person only the first entry made will be included in the competition draw. Late, duplicate or incomplete entries will not be considered, and we accept no responsibility for lost entries.
WINNING: The winner will be chosen by the promoter from all qualifying entries. The result is final and no discussion will be entered into concerning the outcome. The competition closes on the date specified. Entries received after this date will not be considered.
The winner will be notified via email or the social media channel in which they entered after the closing date and the prize will arranged for collection from Colchester Zoo or may be arranged for collection/post from a different location if the prize is supplied by an outside organisation and they wish to do so. If we/the promoter is unable to make contact or you do not respond to us, we reserve the right to offer the prize to another selected entrant.
If the winner does not respond within 14 days of notification we reserve the right to offer the prize to a runner-up or to re-offer the prize in a future draw.
PRIZE: No alternative prize to the one stated will be given and cannot be exchanged for an alternative prize or monetary value.
Prizes will be arranged for collection from Colchester Zoo unless otherwise arranged by an outside organisation. The prize is non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives. Colchester Zoo and external prize giving companies reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value at any time.
Colchester Zoo Ticket prizes:
• Tickets have no monetary value and may not be resold.
• Tickets will be valid for 3 months from date of issue.
• Tickets may not be used on event days unless otherwise stated.
• We reserve the right to request ID.
• Tickets are not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
• Tickets cannot be extended under any circumstances and are only valid on or up until the date stated on the competition.
• Tickets will be invalidated if it transpires they have been purchased by a third party.
• Tickets will be emailed out to the winner unless otherwise arranged in advance of your visit.
• Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Colchester Zoo Pass prizes:
• Zoo Pass has no monetary value and may not be resold.
• We reserve the right to request ID.
• Zoo Pass is not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
• One Zoo Pass will be issued to the winning entrant.
• Type of Zoo Pass will be dependent on age of entrant.
• Zoo Pass will start from the date of the winner’s response and be valid for one year.
• Zoo Pass cannot be extended under any circumstances.
• Zoo Pass is non-transferable and non-refundable.
Colchester Zoo Animal Experience prizes:
• Winner will be contacted by our Experiences Team to arrange their Animal Experience.
• Experience must take place on a weekday. If winner is unable to attend the experience on a weekday then the prize must be forfeited and another winner selected.
• The Animal Experience must be booked within 3 months of being contacted by the Colchester Zoo Experience Team but the experience may take place after the 3 months. The experience must take place within 12 months of being contacted.
• Once the experience has been booked it cannot be rescheduled less than 8 weeks prior to the date of the experience taking place, and a £20 fee (inc. 20% VAT) will be charged for alterations and rescheduling to your booking at any time. An experience can only be rescheduled once.
• Age restrictions apply to Animal Experiences.
• Participants under 18yrs must be accompanied by an adult aged 18yrs or over.
• Animal Experience has no monetary value and may not be resold.
• No alternative prize to the one stated will be given and cannot be exchanged for an alternative prize or monetary value.
• We reserve the right to request ID.
• Animal Experience is non-transferable and non-refundable.
• Animal Experience is subject to availability.
• Any personal data relating to the winner will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party.

• Standard entry terms and conditions and Animal Experience terms and conditions apply.
• We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the experience due to any circumstances that arise beyond our control.
