Due to popular demand, our sell-out event, A Toast to Wildlife, is BACK for 2024 with 4 exclusive dates throughout the year, with booking opening soon for the 12th July and 6th September – check back soon.
During our special evening event, you will be guided by one of our Experience Zoo Hosts as you venture out into the Zoo to various locations where you can learn more about some of the species living at Colchester Zoo! Once you’ve finished your guided tour, you will discover more about the exciting changes happening at the Zoo as we share details about transitioning into a conservation charity, Colchester Zoological Society, as well as changes happening at our nature reserve, UmPhafa, in South Africa with presentations from Colchester Zoo directors.
There are only 60 tickets available for each event to ensure exclusivity, so we recommend booking early to avoid missing out! Plus, Zoo Passholders can purchase their ticket at a reduced rate, making their Zoo Pass and entry ticket even better value for money!
This event is for persons 16yrs and over. Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 18. Due to an offer of alcohol during the evening, photo ID for age verification may be requested so please have this available with you.

Terms and conditions:
- Admission to Colchester Zoo prior to the event is not included.
- All those with Zoo Passholder tickets are required to present a valid Zoo Pass upon entry. If Zoo Pass is not present upon entry, an additional £5 will be required to upgrade to a non-passholder ticket before entering the event.
- Any alterations to your booking will incur an admin fee. Alterations are subject to consent by Colchester Zoo.
- Tickets for this event are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for monetary value.
- Toast to Wildlife tickets cannot be used towards an upgrade to a Zoo Pass.

- Guests will be split into groups for the tour. We will try to keep guests attending together in the same group but this is not guaranteed.
- Dietary requirements must be advised of at the time of booking. Colchester Zoo cannot be held accountable for any allergens that we are not informed about prior to the event.
- If an assistant is required, they will be admitted to the event.
- Event programme, timings and specific species included within the tour are a guide and may be subject to change without notice.
- The Zoo will be closed during the event therefore you will be limited to access to certain areas of the park included within the event.
- Catering facilities and secondary attractions will be closed during the event.
- Colchester Zoo mobility scooters, strollers and wheelchair hire will be unavailable to hire for this event.
- Any accessibility requirements must be advised of at time of booking.
- Colchester Zoo reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the event at any time if necessary.
