During April, we’re celebrating all things APE as part of Ape Awareness Month. Throughout the month we will be releasing facts, video and pictures about the three apes we have here at the zoo, Orangutan, Chimpanzee and Pileated Gibbon.

Pileated Gibbon (Lesser Ape)

Did you know… Pileated gibbons are very agile lesser apes and can reach up to speeds of 35mph whilst swinging through the upper canopy of trees.
