We are pleased to announce that Colchester Zoo has won a Muddy Stilettos Award for best FAMILY ATTRACTION 2022 in Essex!
After being voted for this award the top nominations were then selected from each category to go through to a final round of voting! We were then chosen as the top family attraction in Essex, winning this prestigious award.

Not only does your visit provide a ROARSOME day out for the whole family, but it also assists the Zoos charity, Action for the Wild, which helps conservation projects worldwide, including our own UmPhafa Nature Reserve in South Africa. Colchester Zoo is continuously working with both the animals and visitors in mind; with the aim of conserving endangered species and raising awareness of the wonders of wildlife.
