We’re Continuously Evolving…
Regular visitors may have noticed some areas around the Zoo are currently under development as we make improvements.
Coffee Shop
On 7th July 2020, one of our catering outlets, Coffee Shop, located next to our Sea Lion habitat, Playa Patagonia, suffered extensive damage due a fire within the outlet. Luckily, no one was harmed, and the fire was contained quickly. After the slow financial recovery from the Pandemic of Covid-19, we are now finally able to develop the old shop into a new catering facility for all to enjoy. Watch this space.
Rock Hyrax on the move…
Our Rock Hyrax have now moved from their previous location at Aardvark Burrow to their new home located at the Inca Trail. After being unused for nearly a decade, the old aviary enclosure in this area of the Zoo has been transformed by our Maintenance Team into a home suitable for our small furry friends. Their new habitat now includes plenty of beams and climbing apparatus for enrichment along with a large viewing window. Why not see if you can spot our Rock Hyrax in their new home on your next visit.
