Based on current government guidance (click here for DfE guidance on Educational Visits), we are accepting school bookings from our anticipated opening date of 12th April*. However, please be aware restrictions will be in place at this time.
To the best of our understanding (subject to change*) from 12th April* the following restrictions may be in place:
- Indoor areas will be closed (including but not limited to animal houses such as the Giraffe House, Worlds Apart Walkthrough, Sea Lion tunnel, Orangutan House, etc.)
- Education sessions will still be available in our indoor classroom space (see education session pages for details of covid secure measures)
- Giftshop (as non-essential retail) will be open
- Food Outlets will be limited and take-away only
- Extremely limited picnic areas and all outside even in bad weather
- Limited numbers of visitors, and specific arrival times
If you are concerned about how these potential restrictions may impact your school trip, we recommend booking after 17th May* when restrictions are anticipated to be eased.
*All anticipated dates, and restrictions are based on the governments unlocking plan, and following government restrictions. These are subject to change and are entirely outside of our control.
We apologise in advance if there is a delay in processing your booking while our education staff are currently working limited hours.
Payment is not required at the time of booking your school visit, nor in advance of your visit.
Payment options for schools are on the day or via invoice after your visit.
