Booking to visit as a Zoo Passholder?
In order to help manage social distancing we are limiting the number of visitors to Colchester Zoo each day . This includes our Zoo Passholders who are now required to book their date and time slot for visiting online in advance.
PLEASE DO NOT BOOK if you do not intend on visiting.
We really need your support right now to help us fight for survival. By booking slots and not arriving you are depriving us from vital income from other Zoo Passholders and those who would like to pay to visit.
In the interest of fairness for those who would like to visit and support the zoo please only book for a day and time you know you can attend.
We are monitoring Zoo Passholder bookings, we will review the passholders who are seen to be abusing the system by booking multiple dates and not visiting.
- Zoo Passholder tickets are FREE to book on a first-come first-serve basis.
- All tickets are released in blocks.
- This is to give all passholders a chance to book – if you are unsure if you are able to visit on a date please do not book a slot as you will be denying others the chance to visit.
- You MUST bring your valid Zoo Pass with you as well as your booking confirmation to gain entry. Without these access will be denied.
Everyday after 2.30pm, Zoo Passholders can visit the zoo without pre-booking a time slot.
Please note entry is dependant on capacity within the park. We may be required to work on a 1-out 1-in system as a safety precaution and we therefore cannot guarantee entry will be gained before zoo close if capacity does not allow.
Important Information: Your pre-booked time slot is only valid when you show your valid Zoo Pass to scan and enter along with your booking confirmation.
Whether you have a valid pass, are planning to renew your pass on your arrival or have a pass to collect on your visit – you must reserve the relevant number of free tickets online for a specified time of arrival.
We have staggered arrival times in order to help with social distancing. Please remain in your car until your pre-booked arrival time.
Follow the necessary instructions for entry, directional signs will assist you to ensure you are approaching the relevant gate. Staff will also be on hand to help if required.
You must present both your booking confirmation showing your chosen time of arrival along with your valid Zoo Pass to scan on the admission gate.
If you have a pass to collect or would like to renew a pass please visit Guest Services at the time of your reservation.
