Jungle Tumble Soft Play Complex to remain closed
Following the Government announcement on 13th August that Indoor Soft Play Areas may reopen from the 15th August, we have analysed the reopening guidance and measures required to take place to reopen safely.
After much deliberation and evaluating the previous decision to keep Jungle Tumble Soft Play Complex closed despite the Government announcing that soft play areas can open, we have decided that it is too much of a risk at the moment for both staff and visitors, children and adults, to reopen the indoor play area.
The guidance is stringent for indoor soft play areas and we feel that we, here at Colchester Zoo, would not be able to meet all of the guidelines outlined at this moment in time whilst keeping the soft play area as a free activity for visitors. Therefore, we are convinced that keeping the soft play closed until further notice is the right decision.
Unfortunately, until the restrictions on reopening such an activity are eased, Jungle Tumble will remain closed.
We are sorry for any disappointment caused but thank you for your understanding and continued support during this difficult time.
